About Jeremiah
Jeremiah is a lifelong Georgian who understands the struggles working people face, because he's lived them. Born at Piedmont Hospital and raised in Decatur by a single mother, he grew up experiencing firsthand how many families rely on a mix of income, social safety nets, and community support just to make ends meet.
His path through Georgia Tech and an internship with Congressman John Lewis led to work with the Georgia Senate Democratic Caucus, DeKalb County Government, and as a government relations consultant. Along the way, he gained a front-row seat to how corporations buy access to power while everyday Georgians get locked out.
As a renter and public school graduate who is still paying off student loans and who previously relied on the Affordable Care Act marketplace insurance, Jeremiah understands both the challenges people face, the obstacles in the way, and the policies that can deliver the Georgia we deserve.
That’s why Jeremiah is running for the Georgia State House to build an economy that works for working families, expand affordable housing and public transit, and ensure every Georgian has the opportunity to thrive.
